This is an intimate space facilitated by Rui, the founder of GPT, throughout her US tour so you can confidently explore your unique tea journey in depth. What is shared in the space will be backed by foundational, traditional knowledge and root wisdom and how they've been shared throughout generations. Practically, this includes ways of brewing, the history or cultural narratives, tea's journey from earth to cup, and how to facilitate tea for others or connect more deeply with it.

    Cultural Significance

    Rui grew up in Guizhou and moved to London in the late 2000s. Her knowledge of tea is deeply ingrained in her drinking and serving tea as a child, spending time at the Master's Tea House and learning from great masters across the fields of Chinese philosophies, literature, calligraphy, Mahayana Buddhism, Daoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yi Jing ("i-ching"), Cha Dao and Cha Yi. She was taught by the elders from the indigenous groups in Guizhou, such as Yi, Gelao, Hei Miao and Buyi.
